💨 Abstract

Mexico plans to use 'robot dogs' for surveillance and crime prevention during the 2026 World Cup. The 'K9-X Division,' consisting of four androids, will assist police by entering dangerous situations and transmitting live footage. These robots, equipped with cameras and night vision, aim to support officers in patrolling large areas and detecting unusual behaviors. The initiative, part of a broader security strategy, includes drones and new patrols, with an investment of approximately 2.5 million pesos.
