💨 Abstract
An investigation by Malwarebytes revealed that children can easily access inappropriate content on social media platforms like Roblox, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and Instagram by bypassing age-verification checks. Techniques such as using guest accounts, faking birthdates, or exploiting self-declaration systems allow minors to view harmful content, including execution videos and fraud tutorials. Despite efforts by tech providers to enhance child safety, the findings highlight the need for more robust digital identity verification and parental supervision.
