The video, which has since been deleted, sparked widespread outrage. Obama called the behavior "deeply troubling" and a distraction from decency and kindness. Trump's team initially defended the video as an internet meme but later admitted it was posted in error. Trump himself refused to apologize, claiming he didn't see the entire video.
