💨 Abstract
Naveed Akram, 24, appeared in court for the first time, accused of killing 15 people and committing a terrorist act during the Bondi Beach Hanukkah attack in December. His father, Sajid, was killed by police at the scene. The attack, which injured dozens, targeted a Jewish festival. Akram and his father allegedly threw non-detonating bombs and opened fire. Two bystanders were hailed as heroes for attempting to stop the attackers.
