A taxi driver, Dominic Dalton, was jailed for nine years after raping a sleeping passenger. On February 25, 2024, Dalton took a woman home after she fell asleep in his cab, then sexually assaulted her. The victim woke up, grabbed a knife, and escaped to a neighbor's house to call the police. Dalton was later convicted and sentenced. Police praised the victim's bravery and hope the conviction encourages others to report similar crimes.
