💨 Abstract
Last summer, Chelsea made a significant offer for Barcelona's Fermin Lopez, but the player and the club chose to keep him. Barcelona prioritized retaining homegrown talent like Lopez, Pedri, and Yamal, who have all received substantial offers but opted to stay. Lopez has since excelled, scoring 11 goals and providing 12 assists in 32 appearances this season, and extended his contract until 2031 with a €500m release clause.
