💨 Abstract
A Maltese-flagged container ship, Safeen Prestige, was struck by an unknown projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, forcing the crew to abandon ship. The vessel caught fire in the engine room but no environmental impact was reported. The Strait of Hormuz is crucial for global oil transit, with about a fifth of the world's oil passing through it.
