💨 Abstract
The Royal Marines conducted a covert commando raid from a German U-boat during the Arctic's largest military exercise, Cold Response 26. Commandos surfaced in a remote fjord, reconnoitered 'enemy' positions, and called in naval gunfire before returning to the submarine. The exercise, involving 14 nations and 25,000 personnel, aimed to test cold-weather training and defense concepts.
