💨 Abstract

A 44-year-old woman died, and 117 others fell ill after consuming a 'carne de sol' pizza at a pizzeria in Pombal, Brazil. Rayssa Maritein Bezerra e Silva and her boyfriend became unwell after eating the pizza and were later hospitalized. Rayssa's condition worsened rapidly, leading to her death. Symptoms among the affected included nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
