💨 Abstract
An air traffic controller at New York's LaGuardia Airport admitted to a mistake after an Air Canada flight crashed into a fire truck on the runway, killing the pilot and co-pilot. The controller had instructed the truck to stop but the plane, traveling at 131 mph, collided with it. The controller acknowledged his error, stating he was dealing with an emergency. The incident involved Flight 8646 from Montreal with 72 passengers and four crew members.
