💨 Abstract

Archaeologists have uncovered a 'shipwreck graveyard' off the coast of Karpathos, an ancient Greek island, with five shipwrecks dating from the 7th century BC to the early 19th century. The discoveries, including four ancient shipwrecks and numerous amphorae, highlight the island's historical significance in maritime trade. The finds, along with residential and ecclesiastical remains, underscore the area's importance during Late Antiquity.
