💨 Abstract

Ben Roberts-Smith, a former Australian soldier, is facing trial for allegedly murdering five unarmed civilians during his service in Afghanistan between 2009 and 2012. He was arrested at Sydney Airport and charged with five counts of murder and war crimes. Roberts-Smith, who received multiple military honors, including the Victoria Cross, has denied the allegations.
