💨 Abstract
New excavations at Mohenjo-daro, Pakistan, reveal the city is older than previously thought, dating back to around 3300-2600 BC. Radiocarbon dating and stratigraphic studies indicate that the city evolved gradually from an existing community, challenging the belief that urban life in the Indus Valley emerged rapidly around 2600 BC.
