💨 Abstract

The Grand National, Britain's most famous horse race, is known for its thrills and tragedies. The 30 jumps at Aintree pose significant risks to horses and jockeys. Since 1839, 88 horses have died, with 16 fatalities since 2000. Recent years saw fatalities in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
