💨 Abstract
Christopher Phillips, 60, pleaded guilty to preventing his mother's lawful burial after her body was found in a freezer. Sylvia Phillips, a retired company secretary, died in 2023, but her son kept her body and accessed her bank accounts to fund his lifestyle. Phillips was arrested in February after a welfare check. He pleaded guilty to preventing a decent burial and fraud. The cause of Sylvia's death is still under investigation.
