Elon Musk and Sam Altman, along with Anthropic co-founder Dario Amodei, have called for slowing down AI development due to fears of potential human extinction. Amodei proposed a three-step plan to ensure safety and regulation, including third-party evaluations and international coordination. Musk and Altman have expressed support for these measures. However, some industry leaders, like Grindr CEO George Arison, have dismissed these concerns as irresponsible and potentially driven by investor interests.
