💨 Abstract

Dangerous levels of 'forever chemicals' (PFOA) have been found in the blood of 49 residents in Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire, near an AGC Chemicals Europe factory. Almost 70% of the tested individuals had PFOA in their blood, with one person having the highest recorded level in the UK. These chemicals, used in everyday items, are linked to increased risks of cancer and other health issues.
