💨 Abstract
Yesterday, many websites went offline due to a critical update for PHP, a programming language used by about 70% of websites. Security agencies worldwide advised websites to go dark if they couldn't update immediately to prevent cyber-attacks. Two severe vulnerabilities, dubbed "PHP2Shell," could allow hackers to run malicious code and steal data. While the update has been released, some websites remain unprotected. Experts advise users to be cautious but note that regular browsing is safe.
