💨 Abstract
Defense startup Hermeus raised $350 million to develop the "fastest unmanned aircraft," reaching a $1 billion valuation. The funding includes $200 million in equity led by Khosla Ventures and $150 million in debt. Hermeus aims to accelerate the development of its hypersonic aircraft by using a modified engine from RTX subsidiary Pratt & Whitney, allowing for faster testing and iteration.
