💨 Abstract

Family offices are increasingly investing directly in AI startups, bypassing traditional VCs. This trend is driven by the AI boom and the fact that companies are staying private longer. Arena Private Wealth, for example, co-led a $230 million round in AI chip startup Positron. Family offices are also incubating their own AI companies and conducting rigorous due diligence. This shift highlights the urgency to invest early in AI infrastructure to avoid missing out on significant opportunities.
