💨 Abstract

The All India Rice Exporters Association (AIREA) dismissed concerns that India-Pakistan tensions have affected Basmati rice trade. President Satish Goel attributed recent price increases in varieties 1509 and 1718 to higher demand from Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Iraq, not supply disruptions. Prices have risen from Rs 52 to Rs 58 per kg since March but remain below September 2024 levels.
