💨 Abstract

The Indian industrial production decreased by 0.1% year-on-year in August 2024, according to a report by SBI, due to base effects and heavy rainfall impacting key sectors. The mining sector contracted by 4.3%, and electricity production dropped by 3.7%. However, the manufacturing sector, the largest component, grew by 1%.
