💨 Abstract
The Indian government's fiscal deficit for the first five months of the 2024-25 fiscal year has reached 27% of the full-year target, according to data released by the Controller General of Accounts. This amounts to Rs 4,35,176 crore, compared to 36% in the same period of the previous fiscal year. The government aims to reduce the fiscal deficit to 4.9%
