💨 Abstract

Haldia Petrochemicals Limited (HPL), a subsidiary of The Chatterjee Group, has agreed to expand phenol production capacity from 300 to 345 kilotonnes per annum through a license amendment with Lummus Technology. This move is part of HPL's growth strategy to boost the chemicals industry and meet rising domestic demand, with plans to also increase cumene and acetone production.
