💨 Abstract

On May 20, 2025, the Office of the Jute Commissioner issued a Raw Jute Stock Control Order in Kolkata. This order, aimed at controlling the prices of essential commodities, caps the holding limits for various stakeholders and mandates daily inventory reports. Balers are limited to 1,500 quintals, traders to 300 quintals, and unregistered entities to 500 kg. Mills have caps based on their production levels.
