💨 Abstract
Judith Jamison, an acclaimed dancer and choreographer, passed away at the age of 81. She was the artistic director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater for two decades. Jamison, who grew up in Philadelphia, began dancing at the age of six and joined Ailey's modern dance company in 1965.
