In "Gladiator II," Irish actor Paul Mescal takes on the role of Lucius, a prisoner fighting in the Colosseum. The sequel, set 16 years after the original "Gladiator," follows Lucius' journey after his homeland is conquered by Roman warships. Denzel Washington plays a conniving character who forces Lucius into the arena. Meanwhile, Pedro Pascal portrays the general leading the Roman forces.
