💨 Abstract
Marine biologists are using photogrammetry, a digital technique that creates 3D computer models of coral reefs, to monitor these ecosystems faster, more accurately, and in greater detail. The method, which involves taking thousands of high-resolution, overlapping images, has been applied to assess the success of the world's largest coral restoration project in Indonesia.
