💨 Abstract

Japan has issued a tsunami advisory for Izu and Ogasawara islands following a 5.9 magnitude earthquake in the Pacific Ocean near Torishima island. The earthquake occurred along the island chain, approximately 600 km south of Tokyo. The Japan Meteorological Agency reported no major tremors post the quake.
