💨 Abstract

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred in Ethiopia, east of Addis Ababa, on Saturday, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences. The shallow quake occurred at a depth of 10 km. The area has been experiencing minor quakes since a nearby volcano started showing signs of potential eruption early this year.
