Taiwan has issued a land warning for Typhoon Krathon, which is expected to make an unusual landfall on the western coast, bringing heavy rain. Normally, typhoons hit the eastern coast, which is less populated. Krathon, categorized as a medium strength typhoon, is forecast to hit Kaohsiung early Wednesday, then cross the bottom tip of Taiwan and return to the Pacific.
