💨 Abstract

A low-pressure area northeast of the northwestern Bahamas has a 50% chance of developing into a cyclone within the next 48 hours, as per the U.S. National Hurricane Center. Although environmental conditions are only marginally favorable, there is a possibility of a short-lived tropical or subtropical storm forming today or this evening.
