Eminent Kathak dancer and choreographer Kumudini Lakhia passed away in Ahmedabad at the age of 95. She was conferred with the Padma Vibhushan this year. Born in Ahmedabad in 1930, Lakhia founded Kadamb Centre for Dance and Music and developed the technique, vocabulary, and repertoire of Kathak dance.
