Telangana Minister Konda Surekha retracted her comments on the divorce of actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya, following strong criticism from political leaders and the Telugu cinema industry. Prabhu and Chaitanya had criticized her for politicizing their divorce, which they said was mutual and personal. Superstar Nagarjuna, Chaitanya's father, filed a defamation case against Surekha.
