💨 Abstract

A study by Singapore's A*Star and the National University of Singapore found that children exposed to high screen time before age two showed altered brain development, leading to slower decision-making and higher anxiety in adolescence. The research tracked 168 children over a decade, revealing that early screen exposure accelerated the maturation of brain networks responsible for vision and cognitive control. However, screen time at ages three and four did not show the same effects.
