💨 Abstract

In Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district, police and a task force rescued a 14-year-old girl from a forced child marriage on May 15. The operation followed a tip-off to the child helpline, despite prior advisories. The girl, declared a "child in need of care and protection," was moved to a child care home.
