In Chhattisgarh between January 2023 and January 2024, there were 171 industrial accidents resulting in 124 worker deaths and 86 injuries. The state government reported this data to the legislative assembly. Compensation was provided to the families of the deceased and aid to the injured. However, no rehabilitation measures were taken for the families of the deceased due to lack of provisions.
