💨 Abstract
On Tuesday, a special NIA court in Chennai sentenced two Bangladeshis, Shahabuddin Hossain and Munna, to two years of rigorous imprisonment and fined them Rs 11,000 for their involvement in a human trafficking syndicate. They were caught in November 2023 and were found to have facilitated the illegal entry of Rohingya and Bangladeshi individuals into India using forged documents. They also operated bank accounts and purchased SIM cards fraudulently.
