On March 31, a pickup truck carrying 30 pilgrims from Haryana en route to the Golden Temple in Amritsar overturned near Shahpur village in Punjab's Hoshiarpur district. The accident occurred due to loss of control on a hilly stretch. Twenty-two pilgrims were injured and are receiving treatment at hospitals in Garhshankar and Patiala. Their conditions are reported to be stable.
