On February 28, 32 out of 57 workers of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) trapped under an avalanche near Mana, a high altitude border village in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district, were rescued. The avalanche occurred between Mana and Badrinath and rescue operations were halted due to bad weather and the threat of more avalanches.
