The Madhya Pradesh government will provide nearly 4.5 lakh students of government schools with free bicycles under a scheme this year, as part of the Free Bicycle Supply Scheme. Eligible students admitted in class 6 and 9 will receive the two-wheelers for study purposes. The scheme is also intended to benefit girl students residing in hostels more than 2 kilometers from their schools.
