The Uttar Pradesh government has sealed four unrecognized madrasas operating illegally in Shravasti district, as part of a drive against unauthorized religious structures near the Nepal border. Additionally, encroachments within a 15-km radius of the border were cleared. The drive has resulted in the sealing of 36 illegal madrasas and the demolition of 131 unauthorized encroachments so far.
