The Jammu and Kashmir government is working on 45 heritage site conservation projects, including forts and religious sites, as part of a scheme to preserve architecture and heritage in the Union Territory. Additional projects have been identified for Phase-II. As of now, no central government-sanctioned projects are being executed by the Department of Culture or Tourism.
