In Kollam, Kerala, over 700 kg of banned tobacco products were seized from a supermarket during a midnight raid. The contraband, worth around Rs 10 lakh, was stored in a shed adjacent to the shop, owned by a repeat offender named Siyad. Despite being near the supermarket during the raid, Siyad managed to escape. The seized products were intended for sale in Kadakkal and Kummil areas.
