Western Railway officials seized approximately 93 kg of red sandalwood, a protected tree species, from a train that arrived at Mumbai Central station from Rajasthan. The consignment was falsely declared to evade detection. The person who sent the consignment was apprehended and handed over to the Maharashtra forest department for further investigation.
