Retired Colonel Vinayak Supekar, a former aide-de-camp to a General Officer Commanding, recalls his interactions with Ratan Tata in the 1990s. Tata showed kindness by helping a fellow army officer's injured son find employment at the Tata Group. Tata also demonstrated humility by waiting patiently in a queue at an army veterinary clinic in Mumbai.
