Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge accused BJP and RSS of attempting to usurp Sardar Patel's legacy under a "well-planned conspiracy". He claimed the Sangh Parivar had no contribution in the freedom struggle and that the BJP conspired to portray Patel and Jawaharlal Nehru as adversaries.
