💨 Abstract
Researchers at AIIMS-Delhi have developed a new method using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) for diagnosing Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD), a rare genetic disorder affecting the respiratory system. The innovative technique, published in Microscopy and Microanalysis, can identify structural defects in motile cilia, improving diagnostic accuracy significantly. The method was used on 200 patients and confirmed diagnoses in 135 cases.
