The Supreme Court is considering making hologram-based color-coded stickers for vehicles mandatory in states and Union Territories beyond the National Capital Region to tackle air pollution. The stickers, which indicate the fuel used by a vehicle, were first introduced in 2018 in the National Capital Region (NCR) by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The court has emphasized on enforcement of these stickers to deal with vehicular pollution.
