💨 Abstract
The Thane police took Akshay Shinde, accused in a school sexual assault case, to Badlapur to answer a fresh FIR. While returning, Shinde snatched a police officer's revolver and fired at the police party, resulting in a shootout. Shinde was declared dead, and the officer was injured. The initial FIRs were registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and POCSO Act for sexual assault on two minor girls.
